Itinerary

Day 1
Meet in Queenstown and spend some time packing and splitting camping, cooking gear etc. Then we will be picked up by our private shuttle which will drive us to the start of our riding day. The shuttle will take around 90 minutes but drops us high up the hill, saving our legs for the ~50km ride through the Nevis Valley. As we ride through the beautiful alpine desert we will stop for lunch along the way.
Day 2

We join a purpose built cycle track and weave our way on some nice hard packed gravel for another 50km to our nights accommodation in Mossburn. The riding is easier and we can enjoy the views as we ride through the valleys of Southland. Enjoy a well earned shower and pub dinner!
Day 3
Wake up and enjoy a nice warm breakfast and head into the second highlight of the trip, the Von Valley. This beautiful valley leads us to our shearers quarters for some authentic New Zealand vibes, deep in the backcountry. 73km of mostly gravel riding but with little elevation gain.

Day 4
Our final day, we ride the last section of the Around the Mountains Trail and catch the TS Earnslaw back to Queenstown to arrive in style after a gentle 35km ride to Walter Peak Station. Arriving in Queenstown, we ride along the lake front back to our start point for a few celebratory drinks and our final farewell.

FAQs
Can I bring my own bike?– Yes, we have a range of bikepacking bags that we can use on your own bike. We will discuss it on our pretrip phone call.
Can I bring an E-bike?– No, unfortunately due to the remote locations we stay at there is no charging available.
How hard is the riding?– We ride on 4×4 tracks, rough gravel roads and bike trails. The longest day is 70km/ 50 miles. The most elevation in a day is 700m (they are not the same day) This is for moderately fit riders.
